Default It's melting!

So the DD is in the shop because the power steering hose sprung a leak, and the one day I have to take the Corvette to work it has to be a down pour the whole way in. Oh well looks like I will be spending about 3 hours of quality time detailing it.

When I was coming back from DTE in July the last 400 miles was in rain from the hurricane. Cleanup wasn't really that much different except for my wheels which had brown rusty stains on the inside of my wheels from the rotors. Never had seen them look that bad, had to take them all off to get to it. A little soap and water and then Zaino and they were like new again.

Never used the Ash tray and I don't smoke so, I won't let anybody smoke in my car. I just hated that the one day I do drive the Vette to work, it had to be pouring down rain and I couldn't enjoy it.

That is a good attitude. I think I need to adopt this type of attitude.

That seems to happen to me, too. I drive mine to work everyday - after watching the weather to make sure it isn't going to rain. Yeah, right. I've been caught many times.... and, unlike a lot of peeps here, I do not enjoy washing my car (but also won't drive it with waterspots, etc. on it).

I don't mind the rain unless I just washed it the day before.

This is the way it usually happens - you have to drive the Vette and it is messy outside. Oh well, gives you some quality time with the car.

No matter where, when, or what driving conditions (except snow), my C5 is just to enjoyable not to drive, drive, drive.

Well the good news is it looks like it has dried up here and won't be raining for the ride home. Time to take it home and clean her up.

Drove my 2000 A4 vert to Indy for the Brickyard 400 in August. What an awesome ride! Of course, Sunday night it rained! Not just rain, but ACID rain!

Needless to say when I got back home & 4-5 man-hours later, 2 tubes of Mequiars Scratch-X, and 3 layers of NXT she is back in beautiful shape.

Ah, labors of love........

Enjoy the Car. A little rain won't hurt it. We and some friends just returned from a 6 day 1890+ mile road trip in our C5s. It rained on us 5 of the 6 days we were on the road. The car cleaned up fine.
