So the DD is in the shop because the power steering hose sprung a leak, and the one day I have to take the Corvette to work it has to be a down pour the whole way in. Oh well looks like I will be spending about 3 hours of quality time detailing it.
When I was coming back from DTE in July the last 400 miles was in rain from the hurricane. Cleanup wasn't really that much different except for my wheels which had brown rusty stains on the inside of my wheels from the rotors. Never had seen them look that bad, had to take them all off to get to it. A little soap and water and then Zaino and they were like new again.
Never used the Ash tray and I don't smoke so, I won't let anybody smoke in my car. I just hated that the one day I do drive the Vette to work, it had to be pouring down rain and I couldn't enjoy it.

???? I enjoy it no matter what weather I am driving in.

That seems to happen to me, too. I drive mine to work everyday - after watching the weather to make sure it isn't going to rain. Yeah, right. I've been caught many times.... and, unlike a lot of peeps here, I do not enjoy washing my car (but also won't drive it with waterspots, etc. on it).
Enjoy the Car. A little rain won't hurt it. We and some friends just returned from a 6 day 1890+ mile road trip in our C5s. It rained on us 5 of the 6 days we were on the road. The car cleaned up fine.
