Havent contacted my agent yet and was wondering if there was any agents around tonight. Ive been w/State Farm for about 20 yrs perfect drvng record and I have 3 autos and 1 bike on my policy but was just wondering what a ballpark # would be for full coverage on say a 98 or 99 coupe.
I'm 22, clean driving record, own a '00 Vette and '95 Caprice. Full coverage on the vette, liability on the Caprice - I pay $140/month. Oh and I am also with Statefarm.
Given my age I was blown away by how little I'm paying. Other companies wanted $300+/month for the Vette alone.
My agent also told me I'm saving $400 every six months by having two vehicles. You'll probably also get a multi-policy discount with the bike on there too.
I know it wont be very high once your w/ SF for I think 10 yrs w/ a clean record you will qualify for a safe drvr discount right now I get a 15% discount on top of my multicar policy. Ive also got a Yamaha R1 1000 , most people pay from 900 -1500 pr yr full coverage mine is 420 full and thats a bad bike to cover.
i'M WITH FARMERS. WHEN I GOT MY 00 FRC INSURANCE THEY ASK ME HOW MANY MILES I WOULD BE DRIVING. THEY USED 4000/YR. INSURANCE IS NOT ANY DIFFERENT THAN MY OTHER VEHICLES - A PICKUP AND 2000 BLAZER. I'M 50 AND NEVER PAID A TICKET.
you know, i've long been wondering about this. we've been with our nationally known insurance carrier for 20+ years. we have (knock on wood) perfect driving records w/ no tix. pay $850 yr for the vette. something is telling me i need to shop around for vette insurance. i don't know a lot about insurance but our carrier puts up all these purported benefits such as "1st accident no rise in premium". i'm not sure i believe them. bub
We all know that 25 is the magic age when you get out from under that young driver penalty but being married will do almost the same thing for you even at 21.
I pay $2300 a year, but thats because Mercury puts my 18 year old son on the Vette as primary driver even though he has his own car. We have 7 newer cars in our family of 4 and they have some dumb azz rule when there are more cars than drivers, the youngest gets put on the most expensive rated car. Total BS.
Even with all that I only pay 6K a year for all our cars total, and NO other company can even come close to it so I wont change.
Without my son on it as primary I was told it would habe been around $600/year I think it was.
Good information: I am not in Insurance business but I know your location, and credit score can play a major factor in Insurance ratings. Another good reason to frequently check our credit reports, and ensure any errors are quickly addressed.
I'm 23 and dont have a clean record and I pay $61 a month for full coverage for my 98 coupe through All-State. I also have a civic if that means anything.
Try Grundy. They insure the car for what you want, not the wholesale book all the other co.s use. I pay less than $700 per year for $500,000 pl and the loss is insured for $40,000 zero deductible. There are a couple of caveats-car cannot be the daily driver. etc.

Credit Score? What the heck does that have to do with it?
