Default Looking for sunvisor retainer clip

About a year ago my driver side sunvisor began to make rattling noises where the sunvisor post and the retainer clip met. So, based upon a recommendation, I used electrician's tape (then after it got too gooey, gaffer's tape) to wrap the post and VIOLA... rattle gone. However, over time the added thickness of the post managed to break the sunvisor retainer clip. Does anyone know of a source for a replacement item like that? I've been looking around for a while without much luck.

Not sure the price at the stealership, but I would suggest contacting Gene at Gene's Kar Shop - Forum Vendor as you probably know and great guy to work with. You might also consider posting a WTB over in the C5 Parts section.......

Hey, I hope this helps you.. when I bought my '00 coupe a few months back, the only thing wrong with it was a broken visor retainer clip. The dealer I bought it from (American Sportscar Center -- http://www.buyavette.net) has an associated shop (The Last Detail -- http://www.tld-corvette.com) that ordered this part for me.

When they ordered them, I think they ordered like 5 or 6, but I only bought 1 so I'm pretty sure they have extras on hand (I can't imagine they sell them very often.) I think they charged me $1.70. I'm sure they could mail it to you for $2 or $3.

Anyways, check them out, I'm sure they can hook you up:

I bought one at the local dealership, i think it was in stock, and surprisingly cheap coming from gm. But then again this was almost 3 years ago.

I just replaced mine this spring with some new pieces - got them from a dealership in Kansas City when I went to a car show there. Your local dealer should be able to get them for you, but they may have to order them in bulk (like 5 at a time). If they don't have them in stock, see if they can do a locate and find a dealer close by that may have them. They are only about a couple of bucks for the pieces.
