I'd attempt to find a nice used one and then any blemishes in the hood can be fixed during the "painitng process" ..

on here,anywhere from 100 to 400 bucks.new probably 6-700.cowl induction from aci,9 something shipped.i have one on my car.

List price on a new hood is $811.91, part# 10320926 but you can get it from GMPartsDirect for $479.02 plus shipping (approx $150). I just ordered a RKSport high rise hood, came out to be around $850 including shipping. So for an additional $220 I went with a hood I really liked!

Based on the numbers Half-Life gave, you can probably get a cowl hood for close to the stock hood price through a dealer. The cowl hood would look so much better too.

Order the ACI radical 4in cowl hood...2weeks before my car is done they didn't have any in stock.

on a side note they gave me a F150 as a rental *Blah* could have atleast been a silverado.
