Was searching for something else and came across a Kandy Tangerine C5 for sale on ebay. Figured there couldn't be another one in this world...good luck man, sad to see it for sale.
There is a fine line being honest and saying something nice. Last I knew car was still not sold. 160k invested is a stretch also. He might have 160k on his mulitple motors, multiple paint jobs, multiple interiors, multiple wheels, and so but there is not 160k sitting there. Someone coupld replicate his car for a fraction of that and have a better car. One without a hacked electrical system, working air bags, working AC, sway bars, oh don't forget...one that does not have 140k miles on it.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if the sheer volume of spelling errors and the inconsistencies throughout the text put off most serious buyers; it would certainly raise a red flag with me.
Also, anyone thinking of buying this car should be aware that ironically many racing belts are not strictly street legal. Of course, I am not sure if that statement applies to the Sparco belt, or belts, be they four point or five point depending on which part of the text you believe.
I cant figure out why he didnt put it up for sale last year before he stuck all the money in it. A year ago it was still red with the XBOX sponsorship on the sides of it. Since that time it has been through a major transformation, and major money stuck in it just to sell it. I cant figure it out.
That statement is so false. First...he put himself down. He created all the debt and the problems. Second he falsely advertises that car. Yes it is very attractive to look at but underneath it is a nightmare. Missing pieces behind panels, broken pieces, shody work, exagerated value, and alot of stretching the truth. Call it kicking when he down I call it shedding light on a poorly lit auto. Let me ask you this. If you were to buy a car that is over the price of a standard vette and claimed to be such an excellent vehicle only to find out how messed up things are? Like if you were to pull off a door panel and find out that the sound absorber is missing, half the panel clips are missing, the styrafoam door panel support is missing, and the wires are hacked and spliced...how would you feel? How would you feel if you bought a car that was "featured" in a movie only to find out it was only in the movie for a split second? This car has been so misrepresented it is no longer funny.
99 percent of my comments have been about the car..not Jon. Jon is a good guy and means well he just has to get a few issues worked out. I hope everything works out for him.
One other thing...I know all this about the car first hand. I have seen the car before when it was red in person and have worked on the car in it's current state. There are several forum members here who back up my info with first hand knowledge.

All I'm saying is that when he reads your post, he's not going to be feeling any better about himself or his situation. Can't argue that. No need for you to put down the car in my opinion.
I'm the kind of person who supports people when they're down, no matter what mistakes they made to get there.
I can't argue about the car itself, I don't know it. Just his current situation.

I dont know how you get your information, but I think your comments are very valuable if they are accurate. I certainly wouldnt want to be the person to buy that car without knowing the extent of problems I would be assuming.
