first of all are you doing the wireing yourself or by a pro? I rec a pro , elec is something you dont play w/. but for you info, your HVAC will be run on a 220 line by itself the rest will be 110 now these can be strung every 3' if you like and while you at it , have a few cut in to the ouside of your garage and you will be shocked at how much you will use them . Lets see , your lights will be 110 , If you have a welder or anyother heavy equiptment they will require a sep 220 line. Will your garage have its own breaker box or will it share one w/ the house? I would rec you have a sep one for the garage if you do alot out there. Most of the time the one in you house doesnt have the room to expand to the garage like I think you want to do. If you have any other question you can pm me.

Thanks for the reply I'm a heating and air guy by trade and haves lots of electrical experience (rewired entire house from service feed all the way through) I know with can lights they say to space every 4 feet for proper coverage The garage is 20 x 27 with 12 foot ceilings so I can install a lift if I want to. I was thinking using 2 sets of 8' lights spread 6' apartand 2 on the sidewalls
