Electrical gurus needed!
I was at a light last night, and the guy behind be runs up and tells me that my brake lamps are lighting left to right, not simultaneously. I checked it and he's right. It's only a split second, but the left lamp lights up before the right and top. What's the deal?

Are both sides acting the same way? If you bought the C5 used, someone may have installed sequential taillights in.
Where are you in NJ?

I bought the car used (15K) from Kerbeck but it was all stock. It's just a slight delay. It seems more noticable when you lightly hit the brake. I'm in Freehold by the way.

I don’t want to get into a big detailed explanation, but you have one brake light bulb that just takes a little longer to turn on. One must have been replaced before and it simply takes a little longer to light up. It’s not a problem. You can replace them with the same make of bulb which should correct the problem.

Upon further inspection, it's the center brake lamp that is lighting up a fraction before the outer lamps. Could this just be a result of the LED bulbs VS the "standard" bulbs?

Yes, this is normal. Infact, now that you mention it, a cop told me the same thing. The LED's do light up faster. Notice this next time on another car you're following. Most cars with the 3rd brake light on a spoiler use LED's and then the sides use conventional. There is a bit of a delay. The only solution to this is to either live with it, or use LED's all the way around.
