It appears that there are a few cars with the left axle seal leaking. Depending on who you talk to, it is actually a vent problem. I had mine replaced at around 12k, and the dealer did them both at the same time.
Ya, my right axle seal was replaced at 5,000 miles.I read somewhere on the Forum last year that high speeds weaken them.I had hit about 140mph and I noticed the seal was "gone" within the next few days.
I'll be at the dealership this Thursday for the same thing. 04 Z16 20k on the clock. This same topic seems to be on every Corvette forum. I just hope they don't try and say it was the headers, or cam. I also wish I could figure out a way to put a lock on the port where they hook up the computer. I can't afford a re-flash.

Just tell em not to flash it. Unless you are having tuning or PCM issues there should be no reason for them to touch it.
What seals are we talking about? Do you mean the 1/2 shaft seal on the side of the "pumkin" (differential housing)? If so the driver's side are known to leak in these cars but I've never heard of the right side leaking. It's because the left side cover has a groove for an o-ring gasket that is machined too deep and it doesn't seal properly.
As for high speeds and seals... I run my car in HPDEs every few months and at VIR it sees 145+ ever single lap... I have had no issues.
I went by the dealership today and found out they replaced both seals last month. So the the seal lasted 1,000 miles. I hope it was just a bad seal from the start maybe.
