LS1 engine valve taps !

Anyone else out there get a slight valve tap as the engine warms up? I have a 03 50th edition coupe. The dealer said there's nothing they can do about as it's considered to be an operational noise, thus part of the normal operation? It's kinda annoying first thing in the morning.

Called "Piston Slap" I believe there is a class action suit against GM out there.

Yeah I noticed a little valve tapping before my h/c install. If I've still got
it I wouldn't know cause the valve train noise would cover it up!

I have the valve noise sometimes. I think it is because the oil is still cold and the lifters stick. It goes away when the engine warms up. It is not the piston slap noise. They are a totally different sound. Jimmy
