Outside of the aftermarket battery covers, was there a panel made for the C5's that covered the entire battery compartment inside the compartment weatherstripping?
I saw a cover such as this on a C5 at a car show. It looked very inexpensive and had vent slots in it. I suppose you could even make one if you had a template.

It's any easy DIY project. I did mine in a spare afternoon. Take off the weatherstripping and press a piece of cardboard down on the ridge and fuse box cover. It will indent enough to make a pattern. Transfer that onto some plastic and you're done.

Or, you can simply buy one from MidAmerica, etc. if you don't want to spend the time. These fit pretty well and look decent. Don't have a pic here, though.
KEWL carries them and paints it to match your car.
Anybody know what's up with these guys? I ordered a battery cover and a fusebox cover from them 5 weeks ago. They sent me confirmation on my order but will not answer my e-mails as to status. They have read them, but no updates. Anybody give me a heads-up with any problems?

I don't know who they (KEWL) are or where they are, but if they are located in the South where all the bad weather has gone through............they possibly have communications problems. It was over a week after Katrina went through that I was able to contact anyone via phone or email at Thunder Racing (Baton Rouge), but eventually they came through. They had a shipment of CLB's that they thought was possibly flooded out in New Orleans.
Kewl is located in Seattle. The only covers that I have seen have been aftermarket ones.
Exactly. I ordered a painted fuse box cover and a CF battery cover when they ran their 10% CF sale last month. I guess they just aren't very customer friendly...

I ordered some stuff from them in the past. They carry very little inventory and are basically a one man shop, so chances are he has to custom make your parts. It takes a while but the parts are very good quality whan they do finally arive. Don't know why they don't answer emails, though. Too busy painting???
