I swapped out the stock bars for a set Hotchkis bars on my 04' Z and found that the car went from a slight oversteer to a slightly understeering car. This condtion seems to be a little safer but I miss the low speed nimbleness of the car. How can I make it a little more neutral and keep the bars on?

1. Put the front Z06 bar back on.
2. Whatever your rear toe is, try toeing it out 1/8" from where it is now.
Here are a couple of real easy ideas for you to try. Remember, we're just experimenting, but each of the following will push you in the right direction -- whether not enough or too much, you'll have to decide.
1) Change tire pressures so that the fronts are about 2 psi higher than the rear, 31 front and 29 rear, for example. This is how I like my coupe with Z06 bars and may be all you need to fix the problem.
2) Leave both Hotchkiss bars on the car, but put more rigid polyurethane bushings on the rear bar only which will give the effect of a slightly stiffer rear bar. (If the Hotchkiss bars already include the polyurethane bushings front and rear, you won't be able to accomplish this, of course.) Drive carefully until you get the feel of this one.
Let us know how it goes.
