10,000 Post Par-tay !!!
I joined the Corvette Forum one year ago almost to the day. a few days later, I bought Grond on September 27th 2004. In those now ancient days, it was called "Inferno" until the breaking of the world, when it metamorphosed into "Grond"
And what a project this car turned out to be!! In less than a year Grond has turned
from This

Into This

And along the way, I met many, many Forum members in real life - many of them are now true friends.
There are too many to name them all, so I will just name a few -
Bill Curlee, first and foremost and his wife Cheryl. They have stood by me in my darkest mod hours and buoyed me up when no Hope was left. Not to mention burning the midnight mod oil on many occasions.
Connecticut (Steve), another mod partner in crime - together we have shot many hair raising videos and managed to escape the Long Arm of the Law
GB Vette (Gary) for constant encouragement and gifts,
Grumpy (Mike) for his ever present humour and for not banning me (yet),
StangKiller (Chris) and the FL Leghumpers (Brian, Max, Steve & Chris2) for showing me that the next generation of Corvette owners truly have the "Right Stuff"; stand tall young men
To all of you, a deep and heartfelt thank you. Thank you for allowing me to express myself in my unusual and oftentimes archaic ways and thank you for welcoming me with open arms in to this wonderful Brotherhood that is our Corvette Obsession.

Congrats, and I look forward to more of the kidding you seem to get for your bling/rice/neon mods!!

Are you ever going to tell us where the name Grond came from?

Grond : The Hammer of the Underworld
The dread mace of Morgoth, the Dark Lord, that he used in single combat with Fingolfin. Grond that slew Fingolfin, High King of the Noldorin in the First Age.
In other words, "Grond" is an incarnation of ultimate evil.

In the Third Age, Sauron the Black, once the lieutenant of Morgoth, created The battering ram in the shape of a ravening wolf's head, and spells of ruin were bound around it. It was used to destroy Minas Tirith's Great Gate during the Battle of the Pelennor Fields. It took its name from the ancient weapon of Morgoth: Grond, the Hammer of the Underworld.
