Install a AVIC-D1 nav in a C5
I would like to get a navigation system and I'm looking at Pioneer's AVIC-D1 http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pn...219118,00.html.
I don't have the time or skill to install it myself does anyone have this unit that lives in the Maryland? I'm in the BWI Airport area. I want a professional job that looks like it came from the factory. I don't what it installed using the handyman's secret weapon (duct tape).

Had one in my C5. Have to find the info but I got the Bose adapter with sub output adjustment and harness plug so You don't have to cut anything. Then all you need to do is wire the radio and adapter to the plug, put in a faceplate and you're good to go. You have to find places to put the external box (boxes if you have optional stuff). Fit pretty good on the outside of the radio frame behind the plastic console cover. Not hard, but if you don't want to go that route it shouldn't be too much to get it installed.

I just put one in mine 2 weeks ago... I can give ya a hand... I still have some extra brackets that I cut out and wiring the thing was simple... Give me a shout if ya want..
