Not a moderator, but....if you are looking to post a commercial listing, it may help to become a supporting vendor.

By the way, that fascia did look good.

I'm sure he'll become a supporting vendor once he actually has something to sell ... unless of course ill feelings set in. Sounds like we have an opportunity for a new supporting vendor. I'd like to see him encouraged rather than discouraged

It seems that lately the mods have gotten delete happy. Its amazing a person can post about a corvette key for 6 months before he becomes a vendor and it doesnt get deleted. Or, They can post about new HID headlights that are being designed. (That will never happen) But when you start showing pictures of a front fascia that you are asking advise about it disappears.. Thats total

For some reason over the last few months more and more posts and threads are "Going Away"
I personally think its wrong and it takes away the ONE thing that makes it different than all the other "Corvette" forum (no relation) websites.

MODS, Please leave the threads alone... I can understand if a person is intentionally advertising as a business or an individual is purposly violating forum rules. But GEEEZ..

MOVE AWAY FROM THE DELETE BUTTON....

Thanks for the comments above but in all honesty, I don't mean to make this a big deal--just want to get my thread back... and in case this fascia takes off, I'll defintely work something in to hook up the forum organizers...

And to be completely clear, I'm not trying to hate on the forum orgranizers one bit. When I had a complaint against a vendor a while back, you guys let me go full on at it and present it and I appreciated that.

it's not against the rules to ask questions.

Well, let's address this issue for those who are concerned with the missing threads and members.

First off, I was not the Moderator who made the thread disappear, but, if I had seen it, I would have taken the same action.

Supporting vendors on the forum are permitted to post threads that ask members what they think of a item/product since they are paying a monthly fee to do so.

The forum has numerous non vendors who post threads gauging an interest in an item. Everyone would love to have the benefit of testing the waters before producing/marketing a product, but, that is not fair to the vendors that have a product they are pleased with and
pay a fee to promote it.

The product this member produced is unique, and classy looking IMHO, and clearly others as well, so, I say, if you are this far along in the process, and you are pleased with the product you created, then email Adminstrator "savewave," or PM him to discuss rates to become a vendor on the forum, and start promoting your product

Now, while we're here, let's address some of the members comments:
It seems that lately the mods have gotten delete happy. Its amazing a person can post about a corvette key for 6 months before he becomes a vendor and it doesnt get deleted. Or, They can post about new HID headlights that are being designed. (That will never happen) But when you start showing pictures of a front fascia that you are asking advise about it disappears.. Thats total
I beg to differ Mods are asked to delete threads that are inappropriate, and not acceptable to the rules/guidelines established by the Forum's owner. Let's remember this is a free and private forum, and one man does have all the say.

Now, what some members fail to realize, is that Moderators are not on the forum 24/7 365 days a year. Sometimes we do not see a thread, or an inappropriate reply. That is why the forum has furnished each member with this symbol under their user name What this does is to allow members to report to te Mods a thread that needs to be reviewed to determine it's appropriateness on the forum.

Feel free to use it rather then to allow a corvette key thread to run for 6 months. If you had utilized this button, that thread and others like it will go away much faster then waiting for a Mod. to find it on the page
MODS, Please leave the threads alone... I can understand if a person is intentionally advertising as a business or an individual is purposly violating forum rules. But GEEEZ..
If a thread is not appropriate, it will continue to "go away." And members that promote a product or test the waters without being a vendor, will continue lose their thread.
Careful guys, the last thread where someone questioned "disappearing threads" ended with an ominous reference to "members" disappearing too! It made me feel a bit uneasy. Anyone else see it? I hope I don't Disappear for pointing this out!
Let's examine why this happens.
Members need to remember that this forum allows you to send a PM or email to a Moderator with the push of a button, or the cut and past of an email address. Members need to take advantage of these two methods of communications, rather then to create an open thread asking questions of fellow members, that only a Moderator can answer since they are the ones that took a specific action. Creating threads that question or challenge a Mod action, serve no purpose in an open thread, and only promote responses of speculation and conjecture.
I'm sure he'll become a supporting vendor once he actually has something to sell ... unless of course ill feelings set in. Sounds like we have an opportunity for a new supporting vendor. I'd like to see him encouraged rather than discouraged
I already addressed this, but, let's touch on it again.
When this member has something to sell, we welcome him as a supporting vendor, and by the looks of his creativity, he should be successful in selling his product so, we encourage him to put faith in his efforts, become a vendor, and start selling his great product...that's how it works and everyone one is happy.
it's not against the rules to ask questions.
You are correct, but, I have answered this above. Send a Moderator the question in a PM/email and get the answer direct, rather then to open a thread asking the members for their speculation.

Now this thread will be locked. If members want to discuss it further, please feel free to PM/email me.
