I installed a Flowmaster Force II system on my C5 about 30 months ago. looked and sounded great but had a slight rattle in the left muffler. Now I understand that others have had problems with Flomasters on their Corvettes also.
More internal welds are coming loose evidently as it's real noisy now,so time to replace it. I have contacted Flowmaster but since its beyond one year they can blow it off. However we shall see if they will go the extra mile and give me the left one only. I agreed to pay for shipping and install. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
Had Flowmaster on my Z28 and other cars with no issues.

Had them on my 89 C4 and really gave it some nice sound after they were seasoned....... it would behoove Flowmaster to step up to the plate on your problem..........

Had FLowmasters on my '87 C4 and I got comments from many guys about the sound. It was fabulous. The woman who bought the car from me when I moved up thought it sounded great. Considering something for my '02 Coupe, but if Flowmaster isn't a good choice, I'll move on.
I think they sound good too, also I got underneath the car today and removed the rear hanger did a little twisting and replaced it. It did cut out a lot of the noise problem. I still think some internal issues though not as bad as the muffler shop tech told me. Perhaps they just wanted to sell me a new unit because I did the original install myself.

I've got Flowmasters on my 90 Coupe going on 5 years. They still sound great and no unusual sound or rattles. I especially enjoy the low throaty sound when I downshift. I'm thinking about putting them on my C5. I got to sound test several different systems at Funfest last week and really liked the Billy Boat Bullets.
Has anyone ever noticed on after market cat backs that they never line up correctly? I've watched them install at Mid America 2 years in a row and I've never seen a set lined up perfectly no matter what they try.
No,thats the way they came. You have to cut the pipe after they went up over the axles. The Bullets I think come in 2 pieces and bolt on to the factory pipe.
