Question on 2001 and ring flutter
With just over 7000 miles my 01 uses a little oil between changes. I have noticed on the rear bumper what looks like oil splatter when I run the car hard. At least once or twice every time I take it out I have it over 100 mph. Is this oil coming from the exhaust when I am running her hard because of the ring flutter that I have heard about on this fourm? What can be done other then a rebuild? And how common is this problem?
