Looking for advice. I will be moving from San Diego, CA to Branson, MO (I know no hillbilly jokes). Can anyone give me the name of a good transport company for my baby, and any ideas on costs?
I shipped my c4 from CT to IN(LPE) a few times. $650. was the cost one way and the most recent I'd done this was 2001. It might be higher due to the fuel cost. Cross country, I'd say maybe $1500.00 or so
Passport Transport(Michigan I think?) Originally took my car to Lingenfelter. Excellent service and a good price
Accurate Auto Transport(most of these will come up on google) took my friends IROC to LPE. I'd heard a few others praise them as well
Intercity Lines Inc brought my vette back from LPE after a tuning bug in '01. No complaints...car came back as it left...SPOTLESS. I'd use any of the three mentioned again in a snap of a finger.
I almost forgot Horseless Carriage out of Jersey. They're $ higher...but also do a great job. They took my friends car across country(SL500 benz) and everything went well.
While they are a dealership, they have many cusotmers in SOCAL, so they may be able to pick you up on a return trip, or bringing in a trade or a car for service. They are the biggest Lambo dealer in the country. Their central location helps.
Can't hurt to ask. You should see their inventory!

Exotic Auto Tansport out of Orlando FL. They are outstanding. They have moved five vehicles for me (four vettes and a truck) and every experience was first rate. If I recall, the cost from NH to FL (1350 miles) was about $1150.00. All of their trucks are in excellent condition and enclosed.
Good luck. IMHO, be sure you are 100% comfortable with the company. If you use a crappy hauler to save a couple hundred bucks, you will probably regret it in the end.
Also, ensure whoever you use does not broker your move. In other words: you may higher Joe's hauling service and they may sell the deal to another company.
