Default Tire Pressure Sensor Question

If I put new wheels and tires on my C5, that do not have tire press sensors in them, will I have any problems? Will I have to hit the reset button each time I get in the car, because the car is sensing no pressure? This may be a dumb question to many, but I really don't know. Thanks

Yes, otherwise you will continue to get the SERVICE TIRE MON SYS warning message at each engine start up. If your car is a model year 2001 or newer, you can have a dealer's shop or someone with a Tech II scan tool edit/delete the tire pressure monitor programs so you do not get the warning message. For model year 2000 and older years, you're out of luck and will have to press the reset button to get rid of the message each time it appears.

My 2002 coupe just shows the last PSI reading it recieved when the sensors were last there. IF there are no sensors, it does nothing, just reports that last number it ever had sent to it.....

I run frequently on a second set of tires that have no sensors in them and that is how the system reacts...
