Default Help before I install these springs

Could someone verify these part numbers before I install these? GMpartsdirect.com did not list them and I'm wondering if the part numbers have changed since 1997.
Thanks,
IQ

It is not clear from your post which springs your interested in; base, Z51, or Z06. Here is the spring part numbers I have:
From ls1howto - The GM part numbers for the different suspension springs are:
- Z06 Front spring: 22178729
- Z06 Rear spring: 22188038
- Z51 Front spring: 22178729 (note: same as Z06)
- Z51 Rear spring: 22179020
- Base Front Spring: 22178728
- Base Rear Spring: 22179019

I've seen those too, as well as the Jake Latham's write-up but those are the paper sticker part numbers that have long washed off. The only thing left on the springs are the casting numbers I've listed which are embossed into the plastic spring.

Not the rear one? Or is it? Please fill me in with your thoughts.

Well, I spent the day installing them along with new Goodridge brake lines and Oh my aching back. I'm too old for this stuff (41 going on 80).

Outside of sitting 1/2" higher they are not much stiffer than what I had in there. Am I supposed to feel my teeth rattle or are the Z06 spring supposed to be smooth?

UPDATE:

I was able to reach the engineering dept of LiteFlex to track down the part numbers and spring rates. The springs are Z51 springs which are slightly different from the Z06 springs.

The Front spring has a rate of 502Lbs/in
*the Z06 has a rate of 526 Lbs/in
(not enough diff. for me to worry about, only 24 lbs/in diff)

The rear spring has a rate of 645 Lbs/in
*The Z06 has a rate of 714 Lbs/in
(here is a bigger spread and I may keep looking for a used Z06 spring to replace mine this winter)

These folks were very helpful and also mentioned for us to keep an eye on the Hyperco.com website(out of Indiana) for their after market version of the C5 and C6 springs that will be available in the near future. Hyperco will be the distributor of their springs. They did not offer up any pricing projections but they should be cheaper than what GM charges.

I have been through this too! I found that those numbers that are molded or stamped into the spring does not reflect any currently used part number. The springs should have a sticker on them that show the part number. GM should publish a cross-reference number chart for this reason. The current part numbers on the stickers should be: Z06 Front spring: 22178729 and Z06 Rear spring: 22188038

I agree if we're talking about a garage queen but those little paper part number stickers don't last long on the road. The manufacturer embosses a number into the springs for quality control and that's all I had to go by. Thanks to LiteFlex i was able to find out just what I had. They ride nice and I think I could tolerate the Z06 rear spring if I can locate an inexpensive unit. I find it hard to spend $400 per spring new when so many are available used. Again, one of my best mods to date. This car just gets better every day.
