When the High beams are on should the low beams also be on??? On my Pontiac all four beams are on. I just noticed on my Vette that only my high beams are on. I think there may be a problem with the switch.
No, Chevrolet in their wisdom made it this way. There is a module you can get to make them work together, but nobody on here seems to know how to wire it in. And i havde not been able to figure it out.
I wish the General didn't do this. My Avalanche was the same way. I bought an after market relay that I wired in, and all 4 stay on together now. I think the company was R & D. I have to look in my file. I should contact them, maybe they have one for the C5. If not it would be a good project for them.

Didn't know this - guess I never thought about it. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me that the low beams would go off. I know the fog lights turn off when the high beams are on.
The export versions come with real headlight bulbs (i.e. H4) and it's a dual-filament configuration. If both filaments are powered at the same time, the bulb will overheat and then fail quickly.
