Default car transport

Any body know of a good and reasonable transport company. I plan on buying a 1998 in California and having it shipped to Indiana.

Thanks, Grunz

I used Intercity Lines, very professional. They have enclosed trailers and they baby your vehicle, my driver even had a C5...

April 2004 I used Passport Transport and they did a wonderful job with my new Vette from Atlantic City N.J. to Newport News, Virginia

I have used Horseless Carriage along with several other family members to ship Vettes and all have had awesome experiences. They do all high end car moves. I would highly recommend them.

When choosing a shipping company you should look for an enclosed carrier preferably with a full floor on the top row so if you are on the bottow, cars above cannot leak fluids on your car. Also the key is limited moves. For example my car was loaded onto the 80ft hauler at my house in FL and didnt move until it was delived at my office in Seattle.

I had another car moved by DAS and they picked my car up at my house on a flatbed and moved it to another location where it was then loaded onto a hauler. Once it arrived at the destination, it was then unloaded again and brought to me on another flatbed. They damaged my car in one of the moves and refused to pay for it. DO NOT USE DAS!

Sorry for the long winded response. Hope it helps!

Definitely get the enclosed trailer, well worth the money. Like I said, I used Intercity Lines. They had an enclosed truck that was split level, fit 3 on the top and 3 on the bottom, mine went from CA to VA and wasnt moved the entire ride, wrapped in blankets too....you dont want your car dropped off at terminals, loaded and unloaded and waiting for the next truck to go your way......its worth the extra money to have the car properly handled, there seem to be a few good leads on this thread for you......when mine came across there were other vettes, one was a 57 I believe and a ferrari....

i have used exotic car transport on a few occasions. shipped my verts. ca to fla and conn to fla. (even with the top down). very top notch equipment/drivers. on time at good prices. car does not move once its loaded. ALLWAYS, ponies, lambos and little german boys on the trucks. that is a good indicator of trust. good luck!

Just don't use a broker like Silva. Cheap price but you'll wait forever.

DO NOT USE DAS. They "lost" my car for a week, then miraculously found it ! They wait to get the truck filled, all the while you think your car is on the way. They claim satellite tracking, cellphone access, but "cannot" reach the driver.
Try and verify that it will not be loaded and unloaded numerous times. Do some serious Internet searches and work on price, shippers will usually come down.
Good Luck and congrats!
