although another consideration is a lower mileage car had less of a chance of being abused for as long a period of time....does that make sense? unless you personally know the history of the car. Even a beautifully taken care of car on the outside could have been mistreated on the inside but my guess is the chances are lower, and lastly, how often do you think you will use the car? I bought a low mileage car knowing I'll only put a couple of thousand miles a year on it, I figure this may help resale in the very distant future since I have no plans on selling any time soon, love this car,...good luck

I'd have to agree with the other poster on high mileage not a bad thing necessarily. Chevy engines, in general, are bullet proof. I don't think its talking apples to oranges to mention my '89 Silverado's 350 went almost 300,000 miles without being touched (I may have gone more; I sold it)...if anything, the Corvette engine is likely to be more carefully built with higher quality castings, better rings, etc. Wouldn't it all depend on how it was driven and taken care of. Highway miles or stop and go ?

Just had a mild cam installed at 143,000 miles and they said the engine look beautiful.
