Well, I finally got my car with the Lg Headers dyno tuned. It might be 6 months or longer before I do a H/C and just wanted everything to be right. Guess I'm pleased with the final numbers but wish they were a little higher (who doesn't). I think with the 4:10's they are ok though.
I can feel the difference in torque. He used HP Tuners.
Did you have a baseline done before the headers were put on?
It's my next mod!
Actually two, heres the funny part. I got it dynoed at DTE in Ft Wayne with the 3:42's and it was 308 hp and I think tq was 316. Had it dynoed in Nashville with the 4:10's and it was 316 hp and 326 tq. Instead of going down in HP with the 4:10's it went up. I asked them about this and they said it is what it is, they said others had said they thought their dyno was on the conservative side. I had same mods except for gear change. Maybe the plus or minus difference in dyno's. Beats me.
Congrats on the numbers Kurt!
Did you take it back to the shop in Nashville for the dyno?
Yes, took it back to Performance Garage. Jerry Onx did the tuning, his business name is Vettesport. He shares the building with a guy named Chris. Both very good guys. Here's Jerry hard at it.
Good gains. Love the added power, it makes a big difference in the response of the car. I had installed a Vararam B2, Dynatech Headers/Cats/X-pipe, Magnaflow exhaust and a Dyno tune. pretty close results

12.616 @ 110.6 mph ----- and improving each trip to the track
Hows the sound with the GHL's & LG's? Substantially louder than just GHL at idle and freeway cruise or mainly louder at WOT?
In any event, looks good
I wouldn't say that it's substantially louder at idle and cruise, but it is a little louder. You can still carry on a conversation easily. Now at WOT, that's a different story. No way you can even talk when your grinning this big.
Well, good numbers. But I hate to steer away from the topic. But I've been following some of the headers wars thread on which one headers is better than the other, and it seems like the later post with the dynatech headers got better numbers against the LG LT headers. Now I'm more confused as to what to get in the future. I don't go to the track. But I am looking for that extra ooomph on the street. That's why 3.42 gears and headers are part of my long term projects. Is there something I'm missing or is there just a difference in dyno and programming?

Where at in Nashville? Performance Garage? My sig has my number from there. VERY close #'s if that's the case! I can't wait to get my headers. Did you or someone else put them on?
Edit - Just saw your message above. Looks like I'll be in the same ballpark as you once I get done.
Hey, we're having a dyno day 10/29 at Perf. Garage if you want to come hang out. I know you just had it dynoed, but you're more than welcome to do it iagain. I wanted to get one more baseline before i put the headers on.

Not to incite yet another Header war, it is almost impossible to compare Apples with Apples, or in this case LT's to Dynatechs. The only way is to take a single car, and swap between LT's and Dyna's using the same dyno and conditions. Even then, the tune might be tweaked to increase/decrease performance as well.
If you are just looking to add SOTP permagrin , then the Dynatech performance gain vs. cost is a winner in my books. If you are looking to run the car at the track, add a Head/Cam or Blower, and are competing against other cars in your class heads up then the extra 5 HP at $600 extra for LG's may be the right way to go.
What ever you decide to do, I can gurantee you will not be disappointed. Have you read anywhere in all the Header wars, about someone who out and out hated their setup? I didn't think so! The only question to ask yourself is, what could I do with the extra money..... how about a Vararam
Actually, LG LT headers drop there price a couple of hundred dollars, they can be had for $1695 now as opposed to $1895. I think this is competitive pricing wise. I've seen some Dynatech pricing around $1,600 as well and some of the cheapest I've seen are around 1,400. But since I'm on a budget, I just might go with Dynatech unless the new LG street headers comes out cheaper with competitive numbers as well.

I had forum member Vettes4fun, Todd Vinson of Vinson Automotive in Mayfield Ky (about 20 miles from here) do the install on the headers. Good guy and did a great job. I might make it down for the dyno day, just have to wait until it's get's a little closer to know for sure. Oh, get some headers, if anything they make the car sound awesome.
About right for your mods, my 99 MN6 with a Blackwing and FLP LT, high flow cats, x-pipe and Corsa Indy's jumped from 292 to 325 RWHP and that was without a tune.
I believe I could have gained another 10 HP with a tune.
