Need help in finding Magnetic Red paint for my 2000 Vette's brake calipers. Someone please point me in the right directions...I would like to start this project this weekend, so if I can find it at a local store that would be great.
Check with Bob at Fichtner Chevrolet (forum dealer). I know he has the paint in spray cans, and if anyone knows if it comes in high-heat he would. Bob provides great service.
Will this paint stand up to the heat of the brake calipers?
We had it on our stock brakes for about a year, including three open-track days at Road Atlanta. The paint on the calpiers held up, but the stock brakes suck!

Bob told me a few months ago that GM was discontinuing the spray Mag Red paint.
Contrary to popular belief, the calipers do not get that hot requiring
high heat paint. A car sitting in the hot Florida sun probably gets
just as hot.
There are many off-the-shelf spray paints that come awfully close
to Mag Red and because they don't sit right next to a painted
body part, you'll never know the difference.
I picked up a red ANODIZIT (PlastiCoat?) paint from Pep Boys and sprayed that
over a metallic silver paint as a base. Looks just like Mag Red.
Ah, bummer, about possibly not even having the GM touch up paint available through GM dealerships anymore. But, you could still get it through other major PPG sources. And, mag-red would also look great on your calipers. Good luck.
