Here's something I never really thought about...
The last 2.5 years, I would jump in my car.... start it up and drive away! 
At some point a few days ago, I would jump in my car... turn the key and absolutely nothing would happen! WTF?!
This happened intermittently throughout the day... Sometimes it started, sometimes click. The "SECURITY" light would stay on steadily. Then I'd turn the car off and on... light was gone!? 
Thought it was the battery at first. Charged it overnight... (I have a yellow top, but worth a try). Same thing again the next day!?
Started looking at the resistor on the key... I have almost 45K miles now.. so I changed the key. Worked great... then the nothing came back.
So I got home and cleaned the ignition cylinder out with a dry Q-Tip... got some dust/dirt out... especially where the resistor makes contact with the sensor. Also blew it out with compressed air. We'll see the next couple of days...
Just something I never thought about checking or cleaning... until now. Just a heads up for anyone who may have similar issues.
Anyone have cleaners or methods to add... please do!
