Took the vette out yesterday morning to get some gas, and to have a little fun with it before going into work. I just pulled out of the gas station when two kids in a ricer civic pull up next me. They had the windows down, and the driver turns to his buddy in the passenger seat and points to my car and tells him, "Look, there is another car that is all show and no go" and starts laughing as the he lets a little chirp from his tires and off he goes. For the first time, this got under my skin, and made me So, I fallow this kid to the university, It just happened to be on my way to work, and pull up behind his car. I asked him if he wanted to take me on in a little friendly race... *Note* NOT A STREET RACE.... A buddy of mine works for a drag strip and has made many offers for me to come out and have some fun. So I challenged him to show up this morning... He said he is down for it, talking all this smak about his car.
Well guess what.. he never showed. We set a 9:30am meet time, and I waited until 11:00. No one showed. All was not lost; I still got some fun on the track... But it just makes me laugh every time I think about it. God I can't wait until I see him on the road again!!!

There is a Ricer club around here & several members run the 1/4 in the 12's. So, you never know.

 

Hey, once while waiting at a light, I heard a kid in a ricer next to me tell his passenger "haha, those cars don't come with superchargers"

He started revving the crap out of his POS at the light... when it turned green... I made a left

 

 

 

Some very streetable ricers, turn 10 seconds... if you want to see something .... watch the import nationals sometime...some of these cars turn 8's.... and they are front wheel drive...

Some of these imports are really quick. Most of them with the melon launcher exhaust systems are posers... but some of these little hondas are running 20+ PSI of boost... If they hook up, they can run really well.
Of course they have to put up with lag and no power at low rpms...
no thanks...

 

Well, at least half of his comment was a compliment. Even if he were quicker as pointed out above, he still has a POS and he knew the difference.
