Default Problem with Carlisle vendor

I'm having a problem with one of our supporting vendors on getting a part that I ordered and PAID for at Carlisle, but STILL have not received. Has anyone else here had a problem ordering stuff at Carlisle and then not getting it? He said then that I would have it within three weeks. I've placed emails and phone calls to them, and they answered my first email saying that I should get it around the 16th of Sept, but today is OCT 3 and still no part. But they never replied to my subsequent emails or phone calls. If I don't get the part this week, I'll be sure to let his name slip out. Let's just say he does custom leather interior work.

If I'm right in who I think it is do not worry. He may just be out and not available to answer calls or emails. He may have also been too aggressive in estimating the completion date due.

If I am wrong in who I think it is then that is another story.

Good Luck.

I bought some interior leather at Carlisle a few years ago. I bought it from a vendor down Georgia way. It wound up taking a few months to get the pieces. It was just a case of him being out of the particular color I needed and it took him some time to get restocked. We stayed in touch, he was up front and apologetic about the situation, and did deliver in the end. I would use him again.

Yeah, but all I ordered was a console cover and paid the guy over 400 bucks for it. This is week six and I'm really getting tired of waiting. Even if this particular vendor is busy, he should have a staff who answers emails and phone calls. Bad business.

I'm not bashing any particular vendor or anything and this is from my own personal experiences from the vendors which I have dealt with.

I think some vendors don't have any concept about what customer service is or what it means to have a clear communications with their customer.

I have been frustrated with lack of communication from couple of vendors (from other site) because they don't respond to emails or phone calls after having my money. They are quick to promise you things and take your money but once they have your money, the communication either slows down or ceases.

We then have to resort to threads like this and the vendors wonder why we are starting a thread like this. They will question your motive and asks you why didn't you PM them with issues, hell, if they don't answer your phone calls or emails, why the heck would they answer or communicate through PMs?

This is the beginning of week six and the "vendor" called me today, (I called him last Friday) and he said he's a little behind and that the part would be out the door by the end of this week. Funny. He said the same thing two weeks ago. NEVER will I deal with this guy again and I will gladly advise anybody else against using him too unless you have unlimited patience, time and cash and just don't give a crap when you get what you already paid for. Now I have to wait another week or more. I hope he reads these forums.

If you ordered your center console from Vette Essentials (not sure who you ordered from) you make an excellent choice. Ken does awesome work. I know this is the busy time of year for him with Carlise being a big show for orders. Granted they should give you a follow-up call to let you know if your order is delayed.
Once you get your order and see how much improved your interior looks over the lame stock vinyl cover all will be forgivin

Keep the wave

Let me know who it is, I'll pass this along to the admins and see if we can help.
