Default Open headers

How does the stock Ti exhaust sound with open headers compared to Borlas, Corsa, etc. Which is the better way to go while running open headers? Stock Titanium or aftermarket exhaust? Where's a good place to buy cut-outs at on the web? I have a '04 Z06 so I should be looking at the 3.5" cutouts correct? Thanks for the help.

Open headers to me means no cat back and no mufflers. Do you mean no cats with a catback ? If your running cutouts who cares what cat back you have ?

I have long tubes, "NO" cat's and the stock cat-back with the cut-outs closed it sounds great

But with the cut-outs open it sounds awesome

That's exactly what I needed to know. I have the stock Titanium exhaust and want to get LG LT's with cutouts. Will I have to get a dual cutout for my Z06? Which size would I get? 3.0"? 2.5" cutout? Where's the best deal on the web for them?

A bit off topic, but when I was 20 yrs old, I had a 440 Six-Pack Challenger I would run up an down my street with open headers. That lasted until I looked in the rear-view mirror during one of these runs and I saw one of the neighbors running out of his house with a .45 caliber automatic...
