No comment as to how good because all the corvette forums are good--just wondering why it was gone for now--thx.

I have not been able to chime in on this sister site for a week, I was getting ready to ask that same question on this forum.

Z06vette.com is not a sister site to this one.

As far as I know it has been down at least since Friday afternoon. No excuse for a site being down that long unless it was someones hobby hosting the site....

It's been down for a while now.
My guess is that they had a hardware crash of some sort. Either their server took a crap of hard drive went south etc. It does take quite a bit of tiime to put everything back together again after a major hardware crash unless they have a duplicate server running which takes quite a bit of money.
I'm sure they will have it back up just as soon as they can.

Edit: Apparently, I was given some bad info about why Z06vette was created. Tom cleared it up in a post below. They still aren't sister sites though. I know that much.

It's ironic how the folks at Z06vette were laughing at this site when they had their problems not too long ago. CF wasn't down as long as Z06vette has been.

BTW.. When I talk about "those guys", I'm referring to the management of Z06vette (with the exception of a few) and the core group of people that kiss their asses.

I have absolutely no problem with a lot of the members there.

You are not happy unless you are causing trouble everywhere you go X.

Just to set the record straight.
Z06vette was started when this site got rid of the Z06 section after the release of the '01 Z06. It was combined back into the C5 section.
There was not a problem with management nor is there now.

We and I speak of the management never and I repeat NEVER made fun or laughed at any problems that this site may have had.

I have been an active member of this site for over 5 years and have never had any problems with management or members and continue to give help here anyway I can.

I have many friends on this site as I do on the other.

Thank you for your concern and we will be back up and running soon.

Thank you Maj and mods for putting up with these threads.
I will understand if you need to lock this down.

Tom

That's pure bs Tom about me wanting to start trouble wherever I go. If MikesZ06 would've handled my banning like a man in the first place, I would've never had a problem. Instead, he edited one of my posts to make it look like I left the forum and then publicly told everyone that I left on my own. They even kept my username as "registered member" instead of saying "banned". I could log in, but couldn't do anything else.

They conveniently did all this right before they left for the Z06vette Fest. No two week vacation. Just a quiet banning with no explaination. Later, I had heard that the group all had a big laugh about my banning at the Z06 Fest. When other members asked where I went, Mike publicly told everyone that Les booted me when it was his doing. Even if Les technically pulled the plug on me, it was basically Mike that forced me out. He was after me for a while after we butted heads. I even have screenshots of some of the nasty private messages that he sent me telling me that he was looking for an excuse to get me out.

The remark about management never laughing about this sites problems is not true. I remember a post made by Mike laughing about how often this site was down during the major problems that this site had a while back. I thought that it was in incredibly poor taste. Mike is management, isn't he?

I've also seen plenty of threads posted on Z06vette about guys getting banned or a two week vacation here for posting something offensive. I seldom, if never see the mods or admins stepping in to lock down those threads. I always thought that it was in incredibly poor taste as well.

I feel bad for kicking someone when they are down, but you guys kicked me first.

Tom -- I never had a problem with you. It was mostly Mike and his cronies. I don't even hold Les all that responsible because I know it was Mike nagging him about me that eventually pissed Les off. If, in fact it was Les that pulled the plug.

This is not the place for this X. I don't know why you were banned, it was done when I was off the site do to health reasons for over a month.

I am done with this subject.
