column lock motor
i just had this replaced because of the steering lock up, but i wish i just did the bypass instead. they said that it shouldnt lock up again but should i still get the bypass kit?

If your tech. was smart he could have just used your new motor as a clb. He could have unlocked your old one and then unplugged it and plugged in the new motor and used it just like a clb. Then just tie wrap it under the dash out of sight. This is what was done on my 98 and it never locked up again. I kept this new motor when I traded the 98 in and I am using it on my 01. Jimmy
