Which is the best X Pipe to purchase for my 2004 C 5? Or are they all pretty much the same?

Borla and Corsa are fine, but if you are going to do a headers package later, hold off on the X-pipe, the long tubes come with it.

I'm not sure the make of the X pipe makes much difference. I have Borla quad tip stingers and a Corsa X pipe. If it was switched to a Borla X pipe I probably couldn't tell the difference.

I have the magnaflow. Very well made piece everything fit great. It is one of the few that are "true" x-pipes. The corsa for example is just two pipes welded together with holes in them. Not a true X.

Why?

How far does the "branding" go?

All the way down to the exhaust manifolds?

I think that the manufacturers know what their system needs and it would be better with it!

Like asking "what's the best oil to use?" They all do the same things - merge the exhaust gases. Go with whatever you can get the best deal on at the time. I've had Corsa and Magnaflow - same results.v Just my $.02.

I went with West Coast Corvettes Tru X Pipe, which is basically a knock off of the Magnaflow X Pipe. Same design, less price.

Not really. Check the post immediately below yours.

It's just a pipe.

Bassani and Magnaflow are very similar designs and appear (IMHO) to be the best when combining the exhaust (compared to other designs - H-pipes, welded pipes with an hole between them, etc).

SOoo...I went with Bassani...
