I think it would honor him more and would look really good if you encompassed both his saying, and his name

A way of saying good bye to him...

CYA"BILL"

replace BILL with his name or nick name of course... You are saying your goodbye to him the way he said it to you, to honor him,

and his family and friends would really appreciate it I'm sure..

CYASKCH or MISUBUD, really like MISUBUD...

The problem with the SeeYA or SeeeYA is that people will think it means your fast and would beat them in a race...

How about:

fromabv (from above...your friend looking down on you from above)

BCOF(3 initials of buddy's name)it is the reason isnt it?Because of X.X.X
----like for me it would be BCOFRLT(this one will be hard for people to understand, but it would spark conversation)

RMBRNU (remembering you)

Sorry if they arent any good...

Since my pappy answered this one, I will too. He is "sxe60" btw..

We have all lost some good friends and there is nothing the matter with something like that to keep their memory with you. Since "see ya" is probably already taken why not go with something like.....and I hate to give this up..... "ya see" ??? Since he is the one who got you into Corvettes I think this might have a little more meaning.....

Sorry to hear about your friend. It is really something good that you want to honor your friendship. There are some nice ideas presented here, besides your original 2. Please let us know what you end up with.

Thank you all so much for your votes, comments and advice. I am still a bit torn.

a. SEE YA
b. RMMBRNU

It will be one of those two, in some form or another. The question is which? I want to honor him and still make some sense going down the road. Either way, he'll know I'm thinking of him and that's all good. I'd like to take a photo of it and send it to his wife and girls. So, if you have strong feelings of one or the other, please let me know! Thanks in advance!

I'd go with "see ya" in memory of your bud.
Or, "CYA BUD"
