I have a question for MN6 drivers in GA, I was just quoted $2,000 for a clutch job by Superio Chevrolet and I think that is kinda steep, what are you guys paying and from who?
You might want to think about upgrading to the LS7 clutch and flywheel(New Z06). Parts are about $500 from Fred Beans (forum sponsor) Much stronger clutch than the Z06
You may want to check out the LUK Gold clutch (and flywheel)
NO matter what - be sure and change to the Z06 clutch cylinder.
I agree about the z06 slave cylinder.
You need to really do some research on what clutch you want. I went with a z06 clutch and wound up changign it less than a year later because i decided to up the power of my car, and didnt' want problems.
I'm running a spec 2, it runs and feels great, but it does not feel like a totally stock clutch. I've heard LUK is the same manufacturer as the stock clutch, but i've also heard to watch out and make sure it's really an upgrade. I've got a friend of mine who's LUK isn't enough for his power, and needs to upgrade immediately. If denis is running the LUK's in his cars and not having problems, i guess it's just a matter of selecting the right clutch/flywheel.
