Default Y2K wheel differences?

Search didn't provide what I was looking for. Anyway, what's the difference between the Y2K wheels? There were some made by Speedline and and some by? Some were forged and some cast? I remember theres been some good info posted but I couldn't find it.

They (polished & painted) started out as forged (alcoa), around the end of the calendar year the painted switched to cast (speedline) and the polished stayed forged until I think the next years model. The forged were the thinner spokes and have "GM" imprinted on the back, and the cast should have "Speedline" imprinted on the back.

Why does Mid America always offer in their catalogs 2000 reproduction C5 5 spoke wheels and 2001 reproduction C5 5 spoke wheels seperately?

They show pictures of them both and dam if I can see any difference.

Only difference is the price.

What's with that? Anyone know?

Here are a couple of pictures from Mid America. The forged are thinner and the edge a little thicker than the cast.

Thanks
In their printed catalogs I can't see any difference. In your pictures I can.

AND as for their (Mid America) printed catalogs. I sure wish they would stop sending me so many of those dam things.... What a waste of money and paper.

One correction I believe - the polished wheels remained forged throughout the years. The painted wheels became cast around midway in the 2000 production year.

May i ask what year the speedline made in italy 18x9.5 and 17x9.5 5 spokes came on? I have them on my 99 but was curious what years as the 97-97 have the wide 5 spoke type of wheel. Any idea in terms of weight which are heavier the z06 wheels but i believe are 10.5" on the rears compared to the standard speedline 5 spokes?
