Default C5-R lights people step inside please!

If you have C5-R lights I have some questions for you.

1) did you install them yourself or pay to have it done? If you did it yourself would you do it agian?

2) I heard the C5-R lighting is not as good as the stock lights. If so, if so did you upgrade the bulbs? How much did that run ya?

3) Want to sell yours?

Thanks for the help!

Did it myself. It's easy, but you need patience during the adjustment phase. you'll be taking it off and on many times. you might need to open the holes up a bit (make them larger) like I did; in order to give you more slack to adjust the seating of the bucket. I also had to add spacers to the bottom of the bucket to get them to sit perfectly the height and angle I wanted.

I don't have any issues w/ the brightness. They work just fine for me.

i have a set as well... imsure if u did a search, u would find the many interesting comments about them...LOL

to answer your questions.
1:i did the install myself. took 21 hrs. a lot of aligning and what not, but really, its a simple task to install. its not complicated at all. the stock stuff comes out real easy, and put in new stuff... also, i think i would doit again, now that i know them inside and out! LOL

2: using stock halogen bulbs in the projector (C5R housing) is total crap. halogens are not meant to be used in projector, thus they output less light than your stock pop-ups. i upgraded my bulbs to HID 8000K VHO kit sold by BlingLights (forum vendor). the output is amazing! i think its better than the bmw's and benzs i see. it literally lights up 4 lanes wide. and a nice spread of light too, not patches. go to my website, u'll see all the pics of the headlights and HID's
my website of many pics!

3: HA! no, i'd never sell these, unless they come out with something even better, but i highly doubt it!

good luck, any other ???,let me/us know!

This is strange....I've beeing Ebaying lately....

hmm curious, you are not selling these on ebay and live in the United Kingdom by chance eh? When I went to the site you posted above I noticed your picture. Check this out:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...7624&rd=1&rd=1

The picture shown there is you and your car. Notice the red snow shovel on the wall to the left??

Now go to your site: http://www.vetteaction.com/modules.p...bum.php&page=3

Last set of picutes on the first page, middle picture....SAME ONE?? Notice the same car and shovel on the wall?

Your profile here says you live in MN. But the guy on ebay lives in the UK.

So did you sell your car or did someone jack your picture??

Small world.

ONE big word of advice. DO NOT USE the allen screws that come w/ the C5R kit.. THEY RUST and they'll ruin your paint. Get some stainless steel ones.

I have an extra set if you want to buy from me.

I went to the bottom of the posting on ebay and he does give credit to "borrowing" the picture from the forum. But I agree, possible scam.

but yes, i live in MN and i still have my lights!!! LOL

ohh yea, and ditto was Vectorz said, don't use those black screws, get some stainless steel ones.. or you could coat the black ones in clear nail polish.

again, let me know if u need any help!

on a side note: that ebay ad, the guy has them set at a very good price...might want to consider them assuming he is not scamming...
