Default Fram Air Hog???

Anyone had any experiences with these as a drop-in filter? The price is similar to K&N. I haven't used anything but K&N on my other cars and have been happy however I'm always interested in new products and knowing if they are worth it. TIA

I got one and did the zip tie mod - it's a nice filter.

Did the Air Hog need any type of foam seal to get it to the right dimension? The K&N is a common filter with the Savana/Express (I think) and required a foam seal to get the right fit. I just don't like that kind of stuff.

Nothing special required, the Air Hog is a direct replacement.

I have one. But when I bought it, it did not come with the adapter plate that it is supposed to so it will fit in the air box. Call Fram. They had the adapter to me within 3 days and sent me a free filter cleaning kit with a letter apologising for the inconvenience. Not bad. Apparently that has been addressed.

As far as fit and finish. Fits very well. Very solid design. Not flimsy. They are an improvement over the paper filters.

Chris. Where can I find this zip tie mod. I haven't had much luck finding the info?

Never mind on the "zip tie mod" link.
If you spell properly it is easy to find...

Yes same here - it comes with a plastic frame to replace the original in the factory air box. No foam seal required though as acrace was asking.

Good option over the K&N filter. Cost less and I can throw it away rather than cleaning it!!

to me the air-hog is a better buy than the k&n cause it costs less and made out of the same material, thats my point of view though.
