Mod got done today! Gotta say, if you are looking for a short throw shifter the new Ripper is a sweet one. Throw is vastly impoved over the cut stock stick. If you have the M6, reuse the stock fittings, etc. for a aftermarket shifter has quiet as stock can be.
It much smooth than the old style Ripper, but not a smooth as stock. Should get less stiff as it breaks in.
Sounds good, so there is no vibration and still has the nick nick short throw? So you like it much better than the stock that has been shortened? Lastly, where did you order from?? Thanks

Pewter, in response to your questions...
There are no vibrations and it nicks firmly into gear (it does not have the loud metalic snick going into gears that the older versions do). I need to also note that the gears are easy to find. I had a Ripper in a previous ride and a buddy has one as well, and when driving those cars there were times I was guessing where 3rd was when down shifting. Not so with the new model.
I cut the stock shifter within a week of purchase of the car and have been driving it that way for about a 1.5 years. The cut was an improvment over stock, this Ripper is a vast improvment over the cut mod.
I got the Ripper form 21st Cent MC, they are only a few miles from my home here in North Dallas.
