auto unlock and locking?

my neighbor has a 99 that has the passive lock/unlock feature. he quickly learned to disable it. the constant horn toots & lock/unlock when he was in the garage was driving him (& the neighbors) nuts.

bubI could only imagine, me being around the car all the time, this would drive me nuts. I know that my buddies C6 does that and I hated it.
