Normal is a setting on your washing machine. Only you can define your normal behavior. I would say you found something and and a way to bring you joy and happiness without intruding on anyone else's rights. So rock on.....and that will be $50.00 for the conseling session...that is what I NORMALLY charge.
I guess I don't understand the question. Why is there a question? This question is abnormal. Doesn't everyone do this? Does this make me abnormal? Oh, forget it.

Great Day for a drive, took a cruise to Mt St Helens, lunched at a
favorite spot, came home.
While washing the car, asked myself a question. Am I abnormal?
Washed, chamoised, cleaned wheels, re blacked tires, vacuumed
interior and wiped down. Pulled it in, lifted hood to cool engine
compartment, cracked a beer, did a double check, closed up
shop.
Is that routine normal, ****, or somewhere in between?
Totally abnormal: drive mine under the rain only and then let it stand for days before I bring it to a car wash (not brushless)
Only thing I find not normal is that you have ONE beer only and after the work, not before: SURE YOU ARE ABNORMAL

Sounds routine to me.
On our way back from the cruise to Whidbey Island today, wifey wanted to stop by the store to pick up a few things. I dropped her off in front of the store and told her to call me on the cell when she was done. I went to the far side of the lot and took out the rags and the NXT Speed Detailer. Had the car looking like it was just waxed by time she was done. All I had to do getting home was to touch up the wheels and clean the glass.
Not to worry, we Washingtonians are allowed to wash our cars both before and after the cruise and still be normal because we only get half the decent car wash days that the rest of the world gets.
