Default Those with QTP cutouts, please help!!!

well, with all my bad luck breaking the cutouts (4 times now), i somehow have managed to destroy the wiring as well.... my switch no longer has power to it. i looked under the car, looks like one of the wires going to the cutout touched the exhaust pipes, and melted thru to the wire. im guessing this resulted in a spark, which popped a fuse.
now here is the question. on the wiring from the switch, i assume the red wire is positive,

IS there a inline fuse on this wire????

i ripped apart the center console get a closer look, revealing nothing. no fuse, just a lot of wiring.

any other ideas as to what i may have done???

im getting absolutely sick of this POS system! the housings keep melting, the screws holding the motor assembly keep backing out. its absolutely ridiculous!!!

any tips/suggestions, please let me know, im on my last hope here before i completely rip this pile of crap out! i really love the sound of my car with open dumps of a 427 & no cats, its truly amazing!!! but im starting to get really frustrated with the up keep...

thanks guys!

I've had my Q/T cutouts on for over a year now and have not had any problems at all. There are no in line fuses. Call quick time they'll help you.
