Default I Need Some Help, Please!

My 80 C-3 was burned 3 weeks ago, so i'm thinking of buying a c-5 this week... Here's the deal... This '97 has a salvage title due to it being in a wreck. First, what's the rating on a 97 c-5 and second, what's the chances of this car being fixed back to almost perfect standard??? Help!

Stay away from salvaged cars. Besides the obvious mechanical risks you are taking, you WILL have difficulty selling it down the road.

I personally would not mess with a car that has a salvage title on it. There are plenty of good, low mileage C5s out there right now that are priced right and have not been in a major wreck.

It is far more prudent to be selective when purchasing ANY USED vehicle. And, most especially when considering a vehicle that has suffered a collision, flood, or, fire. Moreover, a car that has a Salvage Title may, or, may not have major mechanical issues. However, this is specifically dependent upon the case, history, and, vehicle damage involved. For your information, and, as an helpful side note, do refer to the following link (hope it works), whereby, I had actually posted responsorial comments and information regarding this very interesting issue:

Best Wishes to You.

I'm not sure how bad this one is you're looking at, but you can pick up a nice 2000-2002 right now for $25,000 give or take......older ones even cheaper.

To have to rebuild one, will cost you at least half that, plus the constant braking down and repairs that may or may not happen.

I say, avoid the headaches, just bight the bullet and have a car you can enjoy and not worry about.
