Default front tag filler

I just bought a C5 and I have to have a tag on the front of my car. How do I take the filler off? Does it just pop off? I don't want to ruin it getting it off.
Thanks

There are 2 screws in the bottom of the filler. The screws are in the gap between the bottom of the filler, and the nose of the car. You may need to spread the gap a little to get the proper screw driver in there.

If you have the license plate surround for the car, use it - it will fill in the gap between the sides of the plate and the fascia nicely. You could also buy one of the painted surrounds to make it match the body color.

The painted front license plate surrounds cover is quite sharp.

it would definately look better without the front tag but I am worried about getting stopped all the time. I like the guys idea of keeping the tag in the car and saying the bracket is on order. I do have the surround for it and if I put the tag on the front I will put that on also.

Have been on this forum for over a year and have seen many, many posts of people who "skirt" the law and keep the front tag off car. Of all those who talk about not being stopped - don't remember too many from VA who talk about it. I think they are the most serious about having the darn thing! Texas is probably second.

If it were me, I bite the bullet and just put it own.. It's not all that bad looking!
