Default How much moola!?

Can anyone tell me how much I should get charged to install a 5177 dry NOS kit on a 98 with bottle opener/warmer/purge/and MSD Window switch.
Also how much for a Dynatech Long tube headers/Random cats and xpipe setup?
Thanks for any and all help!!

Oh, OK, you already have the parts.

Six hours on the exhaust, four on the the intake, maybe more if you're fussy about a clean install. Total 10, so just pick a labor rate.

Not sure about the NOS setup, but for the exhaust, I was quoted $400 labor for the install from a shop in Kansas City.

I would also figure an extra $500 for a tune if your on the juice and changing your exhaust setup.

What do you mean intake? I am trying to get an idea of labor hours for a Dry NOs Kit install with accesories and a complete header back system. I have the exhaust. And have been getting bids. I am just trying to get an idea of how long this should take. And fussy about a clean install? What the hell does that mean? Do me a favor if you are annoyed by my question or dont know the answer or dont wanna help just dont post, thanks!

Well for a clean install you will need to be in a sterilized room. That costs a bit more money. The technicians will have to be wearing specialized body suits to be sure not to bring any contaminates into the room. These body suites make it a bit more dificult to work on your car. So the time involved will go up, meaning more cost. But you dont wanta be gettin those headers dirty!!!

Are you serious? I asked a simple question. First I get sarcastic answer of $3000.00 Then he says if I am fussy? No its fine I want a dirty crappy install! You must be friends with this guy. Its people like this guy that ruin the great things this forum offers. I have posted a bunch and always had some great help. Just hoping for the same here.

Originally, you never stated you had the parts, thus $3000 was a good indication of what you're looking at...Since you're not purchasing these items all at once from a shop, then $3000 installed is not a good indicator. A shop will charge their going rate at what they think it will take...you can try dealing w/h your local installers and see where you're at. Every installer is different, and yes, a "clean" install and a "I can read the instructions" install are 2 different things...experienced installers can do a really nice and tidy job and there are others that won't do as nice a job, but it may look ok to you.
Good luck....

btw,IN REALTIME, headers and a full exhaust took me 4hrs in my garage and that included welding my own cats.
NOS, depending on your kit and tech...5hrs

Thank you so much I really appreciate the info and help. So I am figuring 8-9 total hours of labor. Thanks again!
