There is some "rarity' factor in the Camaro, but I agree with the others....the Vette is a far better car in every respect - ride, handling, performance, more engineering, etc.
Me personally (Former 2002 Z28 SLP Equipped Owner) I would get the SS. The Vette has better aerodynamics and is lighter but both the SS and Vette have the same engine(the Vette has an electronic TB). The SS has a solid rear axle (vice the IRS on the vette) which looses less HP to the rear wheels. The Vette also handles better but you can modify the SS suspension and stiffen it up. Parts are cheaper and you can get the SS HP up pretty easy with LT's, Catback exhaust and even a H/C package.

Six months ago my son bought an '02 silver SLP equiped SS. It is a beautiful car and is quick but does not compare to my '04 Vette in driving and handling....IMHO! Others who have owned both are probably more qualified them me to respond to this but given the choice and I have driven both, the Corvette is my choice.
If it had the Anniversary red paint than it would be a tough one. White is ugly in my very humble opinion. They are both 2002. Camaro would last longer. Although I Lean A little toward the 'Vette because it is a 'Vette.
If you have to ask........you're not ready for a Vette!!!
Also, What is wrong with the Vette??? That is waaaaaaaaaay too cheap for an '02 with low mileage. Look around, the prices range from $28K to $30K. From what I have seen........
I'm leary of the claim on the Camaro being a 2002 SS, due to the wheels being the 5-spokes that appeared on '98-2000 SS models. As far as I'm aware of, the wheels changed in 2001, and 2002 could be had with Special Edition black accented wheels.
