Apparently there are two silvers out there. Mines dull looking compared to the Z06 I seen.

What year did they change the silver? What are they both called?

Sebring Silver and Quick Silver. I don't know what year the changed. My C4 is Sebring Silver

there were 2 for your year (99).
code 11 - light pewter metallic
and
code 13 - sebring silver metallic
later they had quicksilver and machine silver.

My '97 Sebring Silver isn't dull. I use Meguiars NXT wax and detail spray for touch up.

97 Sebring silver... I think it's a little grayer than Quick silver. (My2cents)

Sebring Silver Metallic, model years 1997 through 2000

Quicksilver Metallic, model years 2001 through 2003

Machine Silver, model year 2004

...and while not true silvers, in that color range:

Light Pewter Metallic, model years 1998 through 2002

Spiral Gray Metallic, model years 2003 & 2004

Quick Silver appears to have more metalic in it than Sebring Silver
