Autox school
Had an Autox school today.
If there is one available in your area, I highly recommend them. I don't even autox anymore. You get 10 times the runs at the school, plus instructions.
Nitto tires were excellent! In the morning course, I had the 2nd fastest time at 37.5. Fastest time was from a Caterham 7 on slicks at 37.1.
In the afternoon session, the Caterham blew my doors off, b/c the course had some tighter turns. He was about 3 seconds faster.
Overall, a great, but tiring day.
there were a couple of not-so-lucky participants. There was a '91 M5, which sheared off all 5 bolts on one wheel, and lost the wheel (
). Caused some body damage, and people who saw it said he almost flipped over.
There was also a Mini, who had something go wrong with his timing belt tensioner... another expensive repair.
