Hope that you are okay - at this time that is all that is important

As to the Vette - it can be replaced or fixed - just hold on, all will work out

Thanks guys, for all your responses. Don't know how long this depression is going to hang around. A few details not related to the wreck itself. Was running late when I showed up for the car show. As such a buddy helped put in the 34 chrome screws and washers. Decided to blow off putting on the chrome alternative cover even tho I'd taken the necessary tools along. The engine bay was otherwise for the first time the way I wanted it (decked out in practically every piece of chrome that creativeenginecovers sells, along with all the gloss black covers available from the corvetteshop). Guess that's what really makes me sick.

Remember that the car can be fixed but it is a sick feeling anyway.

I put a 2" tear in the lower rear corner of the car by backing into my friggin lawnmower in the garage and then pulling out. Car was about 4 months old at the time. You really could not see it but there was no way I was not getting it repaired.

Was sick about it for a week, and $600.00 poorer.

Hey fellow Texan,

Sorry to hear about the accident bro. Always upsetting to hear about people getting hit by another who wasn't paying attention and even more upsetting when that person is intoxicated.... I know how you feel because I was also hit by a drunk driver several years ago!

Hope you did not incur signifcant body damage, and if so, we wish you a speedy recovery. Hope you get back into another vette soon!

Like they have said, the most important part is your ok. I know it has to be sickening though to do all the things we do to our vettes and then have somebody come along and smash it all to hell. Hope things work out to your advantage and it's back on the road soon.

Ours was hit a few months ago, a lot less severe, but it was still a bummer, so the kind of feelings your experiencing are fresh in my and hubbys memory.

Glad your not hurt, and good luck with the insurance and repairs. A good shop and good techs can perform magic.

Sorry about your baby, but like everyone else, glad you were not injured.
I know that does not make up for all the hard work you did. Hope you get it fixed soon.

Seriously? I almost got T-boned two days ago by an idiot Mazzios delivery guy. I luckily swerved enough to avoid it. I was so mad I was about to turn around and chase him down and beat him anyway, but decided not to. I guess I will have to remember to keep my cool if I do get hit.

Sorry to hear about this, but at least you shouldn't have any problems with who's at fault! That's what insurance is for - even when it hurts...

Good luck and get it fixed RIGHT!
