Default Adding Some Performance In December...Opinions...

Ok, Dad plans on doing some more "stuff" in December. Need some current opinions.

Currently the Vette has the Halltech Stinger and B&B Bullets.

Planning to add...

LG Long Tube Headers and High Flow cats.

FAST LSX Intake Manifold with the 90mm throttle body. Is it worth it to go with the FAST manifold over, say the LS6 intake manifold?

The shop that will be doing the work will also send out the computer to LPE for reprogramming, What kind of numbers should we see on the dyno?

Any opinions and answers to the questions are appreciated.

PS: If this should be in the performance section, a mod can move it, but I thought it would be ok here as well.

i'd say maybe depending on tranny setup .. 340-365 rwhp.

what year is your car?

..from what i've heard, the best gains for the Fast 90mm intake & TB are from heads and cam .. not sure if it's worth it for a bone stock engine .. so if you're planning a heads and cam down the road .. you've got a good starting point.

if you're just going for the headers and intake .. I dont think you'll see much gain out of the 90mm over the ls6 w/ a P&Ped TB.

Sounds like your on the right track. However, to more appropriately compliment the addition of a new FAST manifold and TB (along with all the other great add on goodies you mentioned), why not add upgraded heads and cam to truly receive the benefit of the extra horsepower and torque you could achieve. This comprehensive mod would then provide you a very nice top engine rebuild/upgrade. Moreover, I would also add (if a daily commuter driver, etc.) new 3:73 rear gears which are now o.e. on the new C6 Z06. Lastly, it really looks like you are creating a great and fun project together. Let us know how it all turns out.

Ok, the Vette is a 98 since one of you asked. Just for our information that 340-365 would translate to how much at the flywheel?

Dad is thinking of doing a cam down the line and possibly more as time goes on-FYI.

Thanks!!!

98 vert here. Headers and LS6 intake and Shaner TB went on at the same time in prep for the H/C that was just done. FAST 90 is a maybe down the road...Maybe. Little to be gained with the FAST until after H/C.
