EDIT: Looking at your avatar, could this be yours? If so, I was impressed with it. You sure have a bunch of chrome in that engine compartment, wheels, and even brakes..........sharp car. http://photobucket.com/albums/y231/D...tes206copy.jpg

Thanks, I took many more of yours at the inlet. Unfortunately the sun was harsh in the early AM, and the fact you had so much shiny chrome really made it tough to get a good shot lol. Even the black was bright.
For those who attended, I want to send my personal thanks. You guys are great, put on a great show, and speaking as a local and with others in town the consensus is you guys rock! We get bikers, cruisers, all kinds of events but the Corvettes are the best IMHO.
My favorite pic of the event, I put it in the wrong folder in the above link.
eye one, sent you a private message...look in the upper right of the page.
I also looked at all your pics (the non-Vette ones too), you're a damn good photographer. Are you pro, or is it just a hobby of yours?
Welcome to the forum.

Thanks a lot for the compliment. Photography is just a hobby I recently picked up, something I do just for fun. I enjoy sharing the pics with others, so feel free to use as you wish.

Donny,
Were you the guy with the Nikon setup? I remember when you were taking pics of Tom's and my cars. Great job on the pics again
No, I have a Canon Rebel. I was wearing tan shorts and a long sleve blue shirt.
I remember when I was at your cars they had officials judging so I kinda scadattled to get out of their way. Wish I took more though, both of your vehicles were some of the finest at the show. The yellow had the wicked engine bay right? Complete with a painted yellow and checkered valve covers. The only one that surpases those 2 was the '55 with an inline 6 mated to a powerglide transmission. Talk about a jaw dropper
Damn, Tom! I was looking through the pictures before I read all the posts and thought wow, that looks like Tom's car but only a little lower. No, seriously your car looks great. I am sure you are enjoying the long road trips.

Hey Chris....yeah, it's a long story of how and why I ended up there, but it was a blast and I enjoyed every minute of it.
Ocean City is a very cool town. I had never been to that part of the country before, but now I may have to go again next year. The Free State Corvette club was so nice to me and I felt more welcomed than at any show I'd ever been to.
Nice people, nice location, nice parade, nice charity, and just a nice event in every aspect. Would be even better with official judging or true people's choice voting.

The conflict was that the Corvette weekend was getting so large that it had to be moved in location in the city for the last three years. It was at Northside Park two years ago, the Convention Center last year, and the Inlet Parking lot was the only larger place. Choosing it conflicted two weekends ago with an already arranged Hot Rod Fall Cruise the Boardwalk. So it had to be this weekend. The conflict with the Nothern VA Corvette Club was resolved between the two clubs, Freestate and No. VA, by No. VA moving its date. This was according to the Event Chairman of Freestate at the Banquet on Saturday Night.
All of the above is exactly correct (except that the schedule conflict at the O.C. Inlet parking lot two weeks ago was the annual Wine Festival, and last week it was the annual Hot Rod Fall Cruise, thus pushing us back a full two weeks later than when our event had historically been held on the first weekend in October).
The Virginia club was kind and gracious enough to reschedule their annual event so that it did not conflict with our Ocean City event when we had to move it two weeks later on the calendar. Kudos to them for that -- we are most grateful.
I'm allowed to pick on myself. I was the loser in question.
<--- See my location.
Put on 2250 miles in the past 5 days, enjoyed every minute of it.
Drive it, clean it, show it, do it again.
It's a thrill to know that you drove all the way from WI to participate in our club's event, and very gratifying to hear that you had such a good time. I hope you will attend again every year!

Thanks so very much for all of the kind words. This sort of feedback is great to hear. We put a tremendous amount of effort into staging this event each year. The first planning meeting for the 2006 event will be held in three weeks, and the work will continue throughout the coming year until Corvette Weekend at Ocean City rolls around once again.
This event once again raised a lot of money in support of our charities. Thanks so much to all who participated and made this possible. We hope you'll all come back next year, and bring your friends along for the ride.

Good to hear you enjoyed the eye candy as much as we did. There was certainly a lot of it present last weekend!
The NCRS Top Flight 6-cylinder '55 belongs to a FSCC member, and it is truly awesome. It is believed to be one of six built and one of three known to still exist today. The Split-Window C5 also belongs to a FSCC member. Both are great, but I can't say enough good things about all of the fantastic cars that were brought in by others who are not FSCC members. Without all of you, the event would have been but a shadow of what it actually was.

Donny,
Thanks so much for posting the pix. I too would have guessed you were a professional photographer. I've passed along the link to your gallery so that other FSCC members will be aware of it and may also have a look. Very kind of you to share them with all of us. Here's hoping you'll do it all again next year -- we will!

Wow. Thanks so very much for the kind words. I will be sharing all of this feedback at our next club meeting, and I can confidently say that all of FSCC does sincerely appreciate your participation and support, and most especially your kind words.
