I actually saw someone here on the forum that had powdercoated black, only the spokes of the wagon wheels - the entire rim portion was chrome I think, and it looked very cool!
Be careful with the bake temperature used to powdercoat wheels, it can weaken aluminum wheels. One person had all spokes fail ! There was a good article on this, try searching for it.
i just change my wagon rims and when i look at it, they have some crack on the lips hairline like 4 crack in one rims.
anybody had this on the old rims?
Since I am one of the few Vette owners who likes wagon wheels, I am considering having mine powder coated in black.
My question is, should I do the entire wheel black or leave the outer lip silver?
By the way, I was reading an article the other night and it said wagon wheels are some of the strongest, most durable wheels ever put on a Vette!

I like wagon wheels, too. Let me know if you go through with powdercoating; I'm in Rockville, MD and would go in on it with you -- I've got a set of WW i've been thiniking of having done. Maybe someplace would give us a bit of a price break for two sets. Please PM me if you do anything.
PS -- I think your white car would look great with powdercoated wheels.
